Democracy and Human Rights: Social Sciences Perspectives
As leading social science schools of respective countries, the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) in France and Hitotsubashi University in Japan are committed to academic research on the values of democracy and human rights, which the two societies share. To deepen our mutual academic exchange in this important field, we are delighted to hold the first joint workshop for Ph.D. students. It will provide a great opportunity for Ph.D. students to present their papers, get to know scholars and Ph.D. students in their fields in respective countries, and to seek international collaboration in the future.

民主主義と人権: 社会科学の視点から
フランスの高等社会科学研究院（EHESS）と日本の一橋大学は、両国の代表的な社会科学分野の学術機関として、両国の社会が共有する民主主義と人権という価値に関する学術研究に取り組んでいます。この重要な分野における学術交流を深めるべく、博士課程の大学院生を対象とした第一回合同ワークショップを開催します。博士課程の大学院生が論文を発表し、それぞれの国の同分野の学者や大学院生と知り合い、将来的に国際的な協力関係を模索するための機会を提供します。
